If you love various genres, camping, the outdoors, meeting new people, cooking out, and roughin’ it, music festivals are the place for you.
My first music festival was in 2015. I caravanned to Delaware from South Jersey with over ten friends. We had some Firefly veterans but the majority of us were rookies. And WHAT AN EXPERIENCE. Seriously.
In order to gain an unforgettable Firefly weekend, camping is a must. There are multiple different packages offered, just like any other festival but we’re all cheap college students who are all about roughing’ it. The camping experience is a trip in itself. No showers, port-a-potty’s, no running water, no electricity, nada, nothing. Its you and
your crazy, music loving, all weather conditions, burger eating, bug swatting, beer chugging, concert going friends. After all, it is the Woodlands. When we say we roughin’ it, we ain’t jokin’.
These photo’s are probably very intimidating but this is the reality of it. Sometimes you gotta go through mud to get to sunshine. But I promise its still a five day party. You go to sleep with the jams still blaring and wake up to your neighbors speakers amped up playing todays headliners. It’s a blast.
The electrifying nights in the forest to the tranquillity of the sunny day makes those rough days worth it, because ultimately, its all about your company. If you’re in an environment full of tens of thousands of groupies, how could you not have a good time. My best friends are what get you though the wet nights of sleep and morning mud fights. They vibe with you and rock until their ears bleed. The excursions and activities are endless in The Woodlands and the experience alone, is something you will treasure forever.
Just a week ago I bought my ticket for ROUND THREE!!! I know, its still sweater weather, but lets pretend it’s Summer just for a minute. Turn up your favorite sounds of Summer and lets discuss this years music festivals happening on the East coast.
Many of the biggest music festivals have released lineups and tickets for this Summer and I have all the deets, well the good ones at least.
As you already know I am a big Firefly Music Festival supporter. This years festival is June 15-18 in Dover, DE. The headliners are jaw dropping, The Weekend, Muse, Bob Dylan, Chance The Rapper, just to name a few. Tickets are sparse and prices go up frequently, so I would put out that fire NOW!
As far as other East coast festivals to catch this summer, below is a list of festivals as well as dates, headliners, and ticket info.
